The Villa is in a remote but beautiful spot. The pool and outside area are gorgeous and the views are amazing. The Villa was clean and had most of the items you would need. Due to the distance from supermarkets / shops etc I would definitely recommend doing a shop before arriving and stocking up for a few days at a time. The town of Lucca is amazing, we went several times during our 2 week holiday. Our 3 children (12,9,6) enjoyed cycling around the walls, it is a flat and very easy bike ride. We had a huge storm one night which knocked out the power but after a quick message to Ian, an electrician arrived at the villa and fixed the issue. Ian was very responsive and helpful. The roads to the Villa are winding and long, but as long as you take it slowly it’s fine! As a previous reviewer has mentioned, 1 bedroom is off a different stair case to the other two bedrooms, so if you have young children that get up in the night, this might be something to consider (if using all 3 b’rooms)

We had a very nice stay, the surroundings are very beautiful and serene. The house was nice and outside you had a fantastic pool, a pergola which provided some shade, a grill and several sunbeds. The only downside is that the house is remote with long serpentine roads to the nearest shops or restaurants. With this, the kitchen could have been better equipped for cooking at the house. The roads might be tiresome for driving but amazing for walks and enjoying the amazing view of the mountains. On a sidenote, one of the three bedrooms had an open stair to the livingroom and could not be closed, however it was seperate from the other rooms - just no door.

Jättefin tillvaro för oss, en familj på två vuxna och två barn som behövde lugn och ro. Underbar utsikt, fin pool och söta ödlor. Lite långt till mataffär och lite otur med vädret, men rekommenderar boendet varmt.

Kurz zusammengefasst: Ein Juwel in schönster Alleinlage! Wir sind zu sechst angereist mit unseren vier Söhnen und unserem Hund (Grundstück ist komplett eingezäunt!). Das Haus ist wunderschön anzusehen und man sieht förmlich die Liebe zum Detail, mit der der Besitzer alles gestaltet hat. Was man nicht auf den Bildern sieht: wie erholsam diese kleine Oase mittem im Wald ist, wenn man aus der Besichtigung der heißen umliegenden Städte wieder heimkehrt. Stille, herrlich kühles Klima und ein traumhafter Pool. Keine Stechmücken, überall Moskitonetze an den Fenstern Alles ist sauber, bei Rückfragen kam sofort eine Anwort, Probleme wurden schnell behoben. Unser Tipp: Nichts für Leute, die jeden Tag eine andere Stadt sehen wollen. Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio und Pistoia haben wir gut erreicht. Da es aber schon dauert auf den Berg zu kommen und es nicht viele Restaurantmöglichkeiten gibt, empfiehlt es sich sehr schon auf dem Hinweg Lebensmittel zu kaufen. Alles in allem: ein herrlicher Aufenthalt!

ZWEI Dinge waren wirklich störend, der Rest perfekt!!
1. Überall Ameiseninvasion in der Küche, jegliches Essen muss komplett verpackt sein oder weggeräumt
2. Bei Regen kann man leider nicht draußen sitzen weil alles nass wird, null Überdacht
