Do you want a coffee but would you like to try a different taste from the usual?
Do you want to impress your
friends with a coffee with warm exotic notes, or simply are you
a coffee lover and do you wish to make it special? The spices
that go well with coffee are many and there are many possible
combinations. You can choose between cocoa, cinnamon, star
anise, cardamom, nutmeg, pepper and many more. There are
no precise doses, all depends on your tastes. With regard to the
type of ground coffee, you should choose a good mixture of
Arabian, whose taste is more delicate. If you are used to buy
coffee already ground you can add the chopped spices and
leave them in a sealed jar ready to use. Do not leave them
already chopped too long though, because they would lose the
aroma.

Instructions to make a delicious spiced coffee
1. In a coffee maker for three people put water in the tank and
the coffee in the filter. Do not fill it too much to leave a little
space for spices that you decide to add. You alternate to the
coffee powder, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa or a pinch of white
pepper, so that the spices mingling with coffee blend evenly.
Therefore you should avoid putting the whole compacted
cinnamon on top because being very end, it may create a cap
clogging the holes in the filter.
2. Once the coffee is ready, we can put in the cup white or
brown sugar in varying amounts depending on the degree of
sweetness desired. Usually everybody puts sugar in coffee, but
what about honey coffee? You can experiment with different
types of honey to determine which flavor best suits the type of
coffee you drink. Try honey coffee yourself and see what you
think. It will add its own subtle flavor to your coffee.

When to taste your coffee
When is the perfect moment to taste a delicious spiced
coffee? Certainly one of that is every early morning before to
leave for work: it is a brief moment of calm when you can taste
a delicious coffee.
If you love the feeling of the warm cup between your hands
and smelling the gorgeous aroma of spiced coffee, you would
sit in your serene surroundings, drinking your strong, black,
full flavored coffee that wakes you up, with delicious tastes
and exquisite smells.
You can enjoy your coffee also after lunch or, in general, to
drink coffee after a good meal: it is the best way to finish
eating.
But, of course, you can have more than one or two cups each
day. If you are going to have time when you are out and about
to make a coffee stop, you might choose to have your ‘coffee
moment’ in a nice cafe, catching up with the news or reading a
few pages of a book.
Because coffee is one of life’s absolute pleasures, you can
drink it also with your friends and share with them this unique
pleasure. It is wonderful to talk with someone while you are
tasting a good coffee.
To drink coffee in the evening could be instead a problem
because you could not close your eyes all night long! But
coffee has not the same effect to everyone, so if you don’t have
any problem to drink coffee in the evening, take advantage of it
when the sun come down and the air begin to fresh as you
carry your perfect coffee out into the garden: stay among
colorful flowers and their scent would be carried to you on a
light breeze and it would mingle with the lovely aroma of your
spiced coffee.
