Villa Zaballina

Description

Surrounded by the green of Chianti Classico and located halfway between Florence and Siena, Villa Zaballina stands on a hill overlooking the Val d'Elsa and enjoys a formidable view towards San Gimignano.

The Villa has three panoramic terraces, where you can stroll admiring fountains and water games, relax in the shade of ancient trees, or enjoy the sun by the pool, all reserved exclusively for guests of the Villa.

The estate, purchased in the early eighties by the Garrè family, develops around a village whose carefully restored structures welcome Cinciano's guests in a warm and comfortable environment.
The first official mention of Cinciano and Villa Zaballina dates back to 1126 when Countess Zaballina, widow of local nobleman Ridolfino da Catignano, donated all her lands in Catignano and Linari, along with the estate and villa, to the bishop of Florence, Mons. Gotifredo.
Entering the Villa Zaballina it is possible to rediscover the charm of the ancient history of Cinciano.

In Cinciano there is also the Wine Bar and Osteria1126 which guests can use if they wish.
At the Wine Bar you can buy and taste (with the possibility of a guided tour of the cellars) the wines and oil produced in Cinciano. Osteria 1126 offers traditional dishes interpreted in a contemporary key.

Guests can relax in Sala San Giorgio with its comfortable sofas and piano, play cards or billiards in the game rooms with direct access to the panoramic terraces, or gather in the sitting rooms adjacent to the Taverna. Equipped with an equipped kitchen, fireplace, wooden furnishings and terracotta flooring, the typical Tuscan style Taverna is the heart of the Villa.
Going up to the first floor, there are the eight bedrooms, each with private bathroom, perfectly renovated.
Guests can thus stay in the Camera del Vescovo, with its richly frescoed walls and ceiling, enjoy the view of the Tuscan countryside from the balcony of Camera della Nonna, located exactly in the center of the Villa, and be fascinated by the uniqueness of each room.
